A Strong Start to Week Three
Dear Wolmer’s Family,
As we begin the third week of the 2026/2027 academic year, I extend warm congratulations to members of our community celebrating milestones, recent promotions and other accolades. We especially congratulate our Trust Chairman, Mr. Milton Samuda, along with Dr. Dale Abel, Dr. Colin Abel, and Mr. David Sanguinetti, on the national honours conferred upon them. To those who have recently suffered loss, our hearts and sympathies are with you.
We have spent the first two weeks settling into new arrangements. Now it is time to increase our speed. I urge every gentleman to start on a winning note by completing every assignment, however small or simple it may seem. Consistent effort builds the habits on which strong results depend.
In about three weeks, our first six-weekly examinations will begin. These results will play a significant part in each student’s GPA. Every young man should set his sights on a GPA of at least 3.5 and on earning a Blue Report through consistently good academic performance and behaviour. Begin preparing now. Give your full attention in class, complete the work set and seek help when you need it.
This is also the week for extracurricular sign-up. Every gentleman must join at least one club, society or sport. Seek opportunities to participate and lead. Identify a way to volunteer and serve the community. Begin your community service now.
As you make choices each day, remain focused on the good you want to achieve. If someone tries to lead you in the wrong direction, remember that a Wolmerian shuns evil and seeks what is good. Be honest in your words and actions. Look out for one another, and speak up when a fellow student needs help.
Parents, I invite you to become active in the PTA and to volunteer your time, energy and connections as we continue developing the school for your sons. Many families have made their mark through such giving, and their sons have benefited from the stronger school community they helped to build. There is a place for your contribution too.
Let us make this a week in which our effort matches our ambition.

At Wolmer’s Boys’ School, the uniform is more than just clothing—it is a symbol of who we are together. Each time a young man steps onto the campus in proper attire, he represents not only himself but also the long tradition of discipline, respect, and pride that defines the Wolmer’s spirit.
To keep that spirit alive, we ask that every student and family take care to uphold the standard of dress:
Shirt: Khaki shirt with two epaulettes (gold stripe to the front, maroon stripe to the back), neatly sewn and always tucked in.
Pants: Khaki pants with a break circumference of at least 36 centimetres. For our average student—ages 13–17, height 4’11”–5’9”, and weight 88–150 lbs—this is the expected fit. Tight pants are not part of our standard.
Belt: A simple black or dark brown leather belt, without ornate buckles.
Shoes: Black or dark brown leather shoes, kept clean and polished. Suede is not permitted.
Socks: Plain black or dark brown socks, complementing the shoes and belt.
When every Wolmerian wears the uniform properly, it strengthens the bond that connects us across generations and reminds the world of the values we stand for. We invite you, as parents and guardians, to partner with us in ensuring that your son consistently reflects this dignity.
Together, we keep the Wolmer’s tradition strong.
